  Abstract
  This study looked at the Environmental Vulnerability Index (EVI) for the Ziz-Rheris Basin (Southeastern Morocco). Based on the EVI developed by the South Pacific Applied Geosciences Commission (SOPAC), the vulnerability index was determined for anthropogenic, meteorological, biological and geological events and for general basin characteristics. An information processing was carried out by the tools provided by SOPAC for the analysis of data obtained from the available documents. This data was then used to calculate the values of environmental indicators in accord with SOPAC guidelines. The results of the research revealed that the Ziz-Rheris basin scored relatively highly on the EVI scale. Although most indicators received scores of “4” or higher, some indicators received grades of lower than “4”, but still indicating high vulnerability. It was found also, that the indicators with the highest scores were mainly anthropogenic or could be attributed to some anthropogenic influence. It was concluded that the vulnerability of the basin could, largely, be controlled by vigilant resource management, coupled with the exchange of information between different resources managers.

  Physical and Non-Physical Health Issues Related to Excessive Screen Time among University Students

  Greater accessibility of digital devices influences the youngsters to pass their leisure time using gadgets for entertainment, which momentously increases their screen time. Excessive screen time is an established issue of public health concern as it is connected with many physical, social and mental health issues. The objective was to study the physical and non-physical health issues related to excessive screen time. Data was collected from 384 students by conducting an online survey via Google Survey Form, the link of which was sent to students of randomly selected universities. Study questionnaire was divided into four portions: a. Sociodemographic data; b. Questions about gadget screen usage; c. Questions regarding physical health issues; d. Questions related to non-physical health issues. There were 172 (44.8%) males and 212 (55.2%) female students in the study group (age range 18-30). Univariate analysis showed that the screen time is significantly associated with physical, non-physical (social and emotional) wellness issues including neck stiffness/pain, wrist stiffness/pain, backache, headache, muscle fatigue, social isolation, low self-esteem and sleep deprivation. It is concluded that physical and non-physical health issues were quite prevalent among students, and are directly linked to excessive screen time.

  Modeling Determinant of COVID-19 Mortality in Indonesia

  Abstract
  This study aims to examine the determinants of mortality-related to COVID-19 in Indonesia. Generalized additive models (GAM) was used for modeling the relationship between COVID-19-related deaths and predictor variables. Information used in this study was sourced from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS Statistics Indonesia), Ministry of Health, and the Indonesian COVID-19 Task Force. The results obtained from GAM are statistically valid. Out of the eight predicting variables used in the analysis, six were significant and two were non-significant at 95 percent confidence interval. The significant variables are GRDP per capita, the proportion of population aged 60 years and over, life expectancy at birth, number of hospitals, number of people with tuberculosis, and number of diabetics. The model can explain the variation of COVID-19-related deaths by 98.5 percent, while the remaining 1.5 percent is attributed to other factors lying outside the model. In summary, this study suggests increasing the number of health facilities, carrying out health development programs, implementing health protocols, and mobility restrictions with prioritizing populations of vulnerable age or those with comorbidities can reduce mortality-related to COVID-19.

  Isolation, Characterization and Efficiency Study of Phosphate Solubilising Microorganisms from the Rock Samples of Western Ghats

  The current study focuses on isolation, identification and characterisation of phosphate solubilizing microorganisms (PSM) from rock samples of Western Ghats. PSMs were isolated on Sperberg’s Hydroxyapatite Media (Soil Extract Agar) and Phosphate Solubilisation Efficiency (PSE) was determined on NBRIP agar and Pikovskaya’s Agar. A total of six bacterial species (PSB I, III, VI, V, VI, VII) and two fungal species were selected for further studies. The strains were characterized based on the P solubilisation zone in solid medium, and their PSE was determined on different incubation temperatures related to pH change of the medium which corresponds to the phosphatase activity, organic acids production and available phosphorus. Each isolate exhibited different results on various parameters studied. Among the six strains, PSB VII was found to be the superior in clear zone formation with PSE values 3.36S.E and 3.7S.E in Pikovaskaya’s medium and NBRIP agar respectively, whereas PSB IV showed the maximum P solubilisation efficiency quantified as 6.0SE in NBRIP agar at 320C. It can also be seen that Phosphate solubilisation by the isolated microorganisms is much higher at 32°C than at other conditions provided. The fungi solubilize P in maximum amount, was identified as Pencillum sp and Aspergillus sp. The bacterial species identified up to genus level using biochemical identification scheme and are found to be Bacillus subtilis, Comomonas sp, Pseudomonas sp, B. cereus and Arthrobacter sp. The PSMs isolated in the present study may be exploited commercially in agriculture sector. A further study on the determination of phosphatase activity and their use in plant growth promoting is underway.

  Three pig carrions were studies for 60 days; arthropods were collected in twofold on a daily basis for the primary week and one time every day for the remaining weeks. Five stages of decomposition were recognized; the dry decay stage took the highest period of decomposition (76%) followed by advanced decay stage (12%) and the fresh stage was least (2%). The total number of arthropods collected were 809, the active decay stage yielded highest number of insects (242) followed by the advanced decay stage and the least (52) was recorded at the fresh stage of decomposition. There were 306 Diptra, 265 Hymenoptera, 201 Coleoptera and only 29 from other orders. The dominance index was highest (0.24) during the fresh stage followed by the dry decay stage (0.15) but was least (0.06) at the advanced decay stage and the Simpson index was highest (0.94) at the both the active and advanced decay stages but was least (0.76) at the fresh stage. Hannon Weiner index was highest (2.93) at the advanced decay but was least (1.56) at the fresh stage as Evenness index was highest (0.92) at the bloated stage but least (0.75) at the dry decay stage and Margalef index was highest (3.92) at the advanced putrefying phase followed by the active rot period (3.67) but was least (1.26) at the fresh decay stage while the Equitability index was highest (0.97) at the swollen phase followed by active rot period (0.93) but least (0.87) at initial period of decay. In the PCA, the 1st component showed that 43.40% of varieties from database as 2nd component stood for 22.30. The loading point showed that the dry decay, bloated and fresh stages are optimistically interrelated in the midst of 1st component as well as the 2nd component, the active decay and advanced decay are optimistically interrelated with 1st component and depressingly connected with 2nd component.

  Determinants of Production of Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) and Millet (Eleusine coracana) in Zvimba District of Zimbabwe

  The adverse effects of climate change are hampering maize (Sub Saharan Africa’s major staple cereal crop) production. Small grains are resilient to high temperatures and low rainfall that result from climate change. Small grains can be produced as an alternative to maize in times of climate change induced drought. However, the proportion of households that are in sorghum and millet production remains relatively lower to maize-producing households. This study sought to investigate the determinants of choice of sorghum and millet production in Zvimba District of Zimbabwe. Farming households (120) were selected from 6 wards through multistage sampling. A structured questionnaire was distributed to household heads. Descriptive statistics was used to analyse data. Binary logistic regression was used to analyse factors affecting choice of production of sorghum and millet. Results from the survey indicated that 59.2% of the interviewed farmers are into sorghum and millet production with 47.5% producing millet whilst 11.7% produce sorghum. Results of binary logistic regression indicated that age and training in small grain production significantly affect (p ? 0.05) the choice of producing small grains. Labour intensiveness, lack of market information, lack of certified seeds and lack of technical support were identified as the major constraints to sorghum and millet production. It was concluded that farmer’s age, agriculture extension, market information, technical support, seeds and labour influence sorghum and millet production. The results of this finding will inform African farmers and stakeholders on the challenges that need to be addressed in small grain farming as a way of adapting to the changing climate.

  Abstract
  The focus of the study was to assess the effect of teaching integrated science through historical approach in Adjena Senior High Technical School in Asuogyaman District, Ghana. A descriptive survey was used to conduct the research. The projected population of the school was 850. A purposive sampling technique with 274 respondents as the sample size were used for data collection and analysis. A questionnaire survey was used for conducting the research. Percentages and frequencies were the descriptive statistical tools used to examine demographic parameters such as age, gender and academic qualification of participants. In assessing the effect of historical approach to teaching of integrated science, a linear regression was used. This study discovered that a greater portion of the students prefer using Aki-Ola and Approacher’s series in Adjena Senior High Technical School. All teachers indicated that they have historical knowledge in measurement, Endogenous Technology and Variation, Inheritance and Evolution. The R-Square results shows that there was 23.4% variation in effects of historical approach in teaching students can be explained by use of historical approach in teaching integrated science. The F-statistic of 37.452 computed produced a significant value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), hence we reject the null hypothesis which says that there is no effect to the historical approach to teaching integrated science in Adjena Senior High Technical school. With reference to the findings of this study and other works elsewhere, the researcher recommended that in-service trainings should be conducted by the Ghana Education Service on how to integrate historical approach in the teaching of integrated science in senior high schools in the district inorder to assist teachers to convey the concept of integrated science effectively and efficiently in class.

  Abstract
  In this research article we have analyzed Soret and Dufour effects on unsteady fluid flow through porous medium past an inclined infinite plate with periodic suction or injection of fluid through the plate and variable viscosity under exponential increment in temperature and exponentially decreasing concentration. The governing partial differential equations that described the flow pattern have been converted into dimensionless equations of flow field and are solved numerically by finite difference implicit Crank Nicolson method for different values of parameters that govern flow flied. The effects of various flow parameters have been shown through graphs and table. The velocity profile, concentration profile and temperature profile are shown through graphs for different values of flow parameters.

  Abstract
  Green spaces are important for our healthy lifestyles and we all need fresh air in order to live healthily. However, nowadays due to COVID- 19 the circumstances are different because we need to keep a distance from each other and simultaneously socialize. This research study is representing an analysis of the people`s perspective on using urban green spaces. The author collected quantitative data in order to analyse the condition of the existing usage pattern of parks and what will be the situation in the future. This study is based on a quantitative approach to analysis. It was found that some people are afraid to go to the green spaces again and some people are ready to go parks with added facilities. Green spaces should be regarded as one of the essential parts of a healthy life of people as well as the cities and should be designed, considering the socialization with safe movement.

  Abstract
  Opinion Mining or Sentiment analysis is a subfield of Natural Language Processing that is used to categorize documents, reviews, social media posts etc into different categories of opinion based on sentiment expressed in the text. Large datasets often collected from the worldwide web using different sources like social media, blogs, articles, news reports are used by various organizations for sentiment analysis, Thus better-performing models in terms of accuracy and speed are required which can be achieved through feature reduction. For the research, we have used supervised machine learning algorithms, a learning model that uses mutual information, chi-square and genetic algorithm for feature selection techniques and ensemble model for classification. We have done a comparative study on the feature selection techniques like mutual information, chi-square and union of mutual information gain and chi-square. The comparative study has been done using different feature selection techniques, accuracy and results using these feature selection techniques with different supervised learning algorithms are then compared. We have then used genetic algorithms for feature selection and classification and compared its result with above-mentioned feature selection techniques.
