  Abstract
  The banking industry plays a critical role in the Indian economy. Measuring and maintaining the asset quality of banks is important for the development of the banking sector. Nowadays, the asset quality in banks, especially the Public Sector Banks is constantly deteriorating and thus causing intolerable stress to the banking sector, regulators, and Indian economy. The objective of the present study is to understand the level of Non-performing Assets (NPA), and how it influences the profitability of the banks. For this purpose, the study considered Gross and Net NPA of 10 Public & Private sector banks from April 2014 to March 2018. The study identified that both the public and private sector banks gradually increase their Gross & Net NPA during the period. The study found that there is a significant positive relationship between Gross NPA and Net NPA of public and private sector banks. The study also found a significant negative relationship between NPA with Return on Assets (ROA) of public & private sector banks. The impact of ownership (public and private sector banks) significantly influences the Gross and Net NPA. The Gross NPA has a significant negative influence on ROA whereas, Net NPA has a positive influence on ROA of both public and private sector banks. So the study recommends to the regulators and respective bank officials to take the necessary steps to reduce the NPA and improve the recovery mechanism.

  Abstract
  Producer gas is the mixture of combustible (H2, CO, CH4) and non-combustible gases (CO2, N2) along with Tar, SPM, water vapor, mineral vapor etc. A number of methods has been designed and developed and successfully implemented for removal of Tar and SPM from producer gas, however these methods are uneconomical. Apart from that most of the developed technologies, for improving the quality of producer gas, removes only Tar and SPM from producer gas. The present research work deals with the cleaning as well as conditioning of producer gas. A Chemical hydroxide dosing based technology was developed and tested successfully. Study reveals that sodium hydroxide chemicals at 30% concentration and dosing with producer gas can increase the energy content of producer gas up to 11% by absorbing the non-combustible gases (CO2). In addition to that heating of hydroxide solution and increasing of residence time of producer gas with hydroxide solution, not only increases the cleaning efficiency (90% and 87%) of Tar & SPM present in producer gas, it also conditioned the producer gas by absorbing the CO2 at a tune of 17%, respectively.

  Abstract
  The use of portable storage devices for digital storage of memory has widely increased and continues to replace the older methods such as CD-ROMs. However, with the advent of smartphones and handheld PDAs the usage of portable storage devices is limited to availability of a PC or Laptop to read data from the storage device. This paper aims at solving these shortcomings and eliminates the need for a PC to read/write to the storage device. This is accomplished by enabling a microcontroller to act as a host between the memory device and the receiving entity. To ensure compatibility with a wide variety of handheld devices, Bluetooth protocol for data transfer is employed. To improve the performance of the low priced Bluetooth TTL, an L shaped micro-strip patch antenna has been proposed. This antenna is designed to resonate at 2.4 GHz and is a non-conventional approach to the design of micro-strip antennas for Bluetooth applications as opposed to the usual meander antennas found in Bluetooth modules. Owing to the flexible nature of Bluetooth communication, after accomplishing pairing, the Bluetooth TTL can transfer data without the concern for further security protocols.

  Abstract
  Preventing medication error is of prime importance in hospital setting. To establish management and preventive plan for commonly occurring medication errors, healthcare professionals must have fundamental knowledge and appropriate attitude towards it. This study is an endeavour to access and improve knowledge, attitude and practice regarding medication error among medical and dental professionals. This prospective Interventional study was carried out for a period of six months at two health care settings. Study found that medical and dental interns had limited knowledge regarding medication error. The awareness in terms of knowledge was significantly low in medical interns compared to dental interns which was improved significantly after conducting structural education session.

  Abstract
  In this work development of a pressure sensor for continuous monitoring pressure of the liquid is proposed. Pressure sensors are required in all fields like automobile, domestic application, defense, biomedical and aerospace application. In this work an assemblage of MEMS pressure sensor that can measure the pressure of the liquid. In this assembly, we used the combination of Strain gauge and diaphragm. This sensor can operate at high temperatures and harsh environments involving corrosive fluids. This Sensor has the potential of determining the velocity of liquid with more accuracy and repeatability. This sensor designing and simulation were performed by COMSOL Multiphysics.

  The researcher stated a significant approach of professional development training procedures and its significant impact on operational excellence in NBFC. The research studies show that most of the financial sector organisations being medium to large scale organisations are arranging various Professional development programs like Training & Development, certification programs, Higher education opportunities for skill enhancement of their employees. But very few studies have been done which try to find out the impact of these Professional development programs arranged by organisations on their employees with respect to achieving Operational Excellence. The Professional Training Development Programs when arranged do not have the same parameters behind its selection than the need identification and effectiveness of the Professional Development Program. The researcher focused on Training in developmental activities in an organisation is the process that’s prime to achieve operational excellence. The necessary skills required by the employees to perform at their respective job role and along with it develop and build on these skills as per the technology upgrade and changing market conditions is very important. Developmental programmes play vital roles in adding values to the employees that are beneficial for them and the organisations as they encourage and provide employees essential skills such as confidence, perseverance and patience to cope up with the market pressure that helps in the organisation allowing higher retention rate, in process providing the organisation with the much-needed profitability and stability.

  Abstract
  The quest to have an all-inclusive government devoid of marginalization, sentiment, ethnic bigotry, and to promote unity among the citizens led the enactment of Federal Character Policy as a National integrative mechanism as well as State Creation, and National Youth Service Corp in a bit to achieve this target. The paper endeavors to evaluation these approaches of the Nigerian government with the perspective on perceiving these measures, and to inspect the present issues militating its definitive objective of national integration. Thus, in order to achieve the aim of this paper, journal articles, books, and conference paper presentations were consulted and reviewed, while content analysis method was adopted. The paper, calls for the strengthening of these National Integration measures of the government and the need to adhere to the tenant of these policies and programs by the stakeholders in order to achieve its full potentials.

  Abstract
  Now-a- day’s people are more concern about security of their valuable things. As security towards our valuable things is at most risk because we are using bank as safer place. As with tremendous development due to new technology era people started earning more and buying more precious things. With this huge development of the same need of security is more. Security is very important, for this purpose as people keep these valuable things in a bank locker as for safety. Still, we often hear in newspapers every now and then that some unauthorized person has access the locker and stolen valuable things. In order to overcome this, authentication of the person who wants to uses locker is very important. To overcome this security issue, a strong security system has been proposed using three level as voice identification, iris detection and GSM technology for OTP. Our goal is to provide solution to security for bank locker from unauthorized person. As there is demand for more efficient security techniques to avoid access bank locker by unauthorized person. The main goal of our paper is to provide 3-ways authentication to provide high security. In this system there will be three steps to authenticate an authorized user.

  Abstract
  We live in a world surrounded by images and pictures. Children have the ability to construct stories around visual stimulus and interpret it by connecting with their immediate surroundings as well as with their wider community. Projective techniques are often intriguing and fun for the children allowing them to express their feelings which are difficult to access through standard interviews or observation. Visual intelligence is developed early in a child as compared to linguistic intelligence which is why any form of visuals tend to leave a deeper impact in the brains. Using visual and verbal stimulus materials such as photographs, sketches and drawing, the paper attempts to establish that research methodologies applying the use of visual stimulus with children is more effective. A group of images are detailed to explain the in-depth portrayal of the environment by children. The results are discussed using voices of children and the social environment in that particular region.

  Nigeria has been facing different forms of security challenges within its territory for over fifty years of existence as a sovereign nation. However, beginning from 1999 when the military which has presided over the affairs of the country in most of these years transferred political powers to a democratically elected government to date, the situation has continue to deteriorate. Prominent among the cause of the worsening security situation in the country is the activities of the Boko Haram insurgent group in the north eastern part of the country. The group which publicly emerged in 2002 has now become a major source of security threat to Nigeria’s internal stability and international community through its indiscriminate attacks on security forces, civilians, and destroying public and private buildings including places of worships worth billions of Naira. This study revealed that Boko Haram insurgency has created so much backwardness, hatred, national disintegration and lack of trust in Nigeria. There is also imposition of Sharia law in some Northern States of Nigeria, this brand of Sharia is opposed by the Boko Haram insurgents and it has affected former President Goodluck Jonathan’s transformational agenda because the money meant for other developmental programmes is channeled to settle and reconstruct projects damaged by Boko Haram insurgency. The government should take adequate measures to shut down all the sect’s training camps completely for the nation to start experiencing peace, national unity, security, development and progress towards a better society.
