Human and Animal Rights

    If the work involves the use of human subjects or animals, authors must include a statement that the procedures performed were carried out in accordance with The Code of Ethics of the World Medical Association (Declaration of Helsinki International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) for experiments involving humans and the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals. Authors must state that written informed consent was obtained from all participants and is available. The privacy rights of human subjects must always be observed and all information/images must be anonymized to guarantee the protection of personal data.

    All animal experiments should comply with the ARRIVE guidelines. The authors should ensure that the animal experiments have been carried out in accordance with the U.K. Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act, 1986 and associated guidelines, EU Directive 2010/63/EU, or the National Research Council's Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals. The authors should clarify that such guidelines have been followed in the manuscript.
